Dr. Frank PogueDr. Frank Pogue’s distinguished career in higher education spans over 50 years, with nearly two decades as president or interim president of four different institutions. Before accepting the post as interim president of Cheyney University in November 2014, Dr. Pogue served at the helm of Grambling State University, Chicago State University, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and the State University of New York at Cobleskill. He also has held faculty and administrative positions at Philander Smith College, Chatham College and the State University of New York Albany. He served as vice chancellor for Student Affairs and Special Programs for the State University of New York’s 64 campuses.

At Edinboro, Dr. Pogue oversaw significant expansion in academic programs, graduate enrollment, campus facilities and fundraising. The university commemorated his 2007 retirement by naming its newly constructed student center in his honor and by awarding him an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.
