Dr. AdlerMadeleine Wing Adler was the first female president to serve West Chester University, where her 16-year tenure was marked by numerous achievements, including an enrollment that Increased by 12 percent and two successful capital campaigns. She also has held administrative positions at Framingham State College in Massachusetts, The City University of New York, Queens College, and the CUNY Central Office. Dr. Adler also has taught at American University and Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Adler is author or co-author of a wide variety of publications, including: An Introvert Takes a New Look at Leadership” (Public Purpose, AASCU, Fall 2014), “Governors and Public Policy Leadership” (in Governors and Higher Education [Education Commission of the States]), “Relations between Government and Nonprofit Organizations” (in The Nonprofit Organization Handbook [McGraw-Hill]), Decentralization at the Grassroots:Political Innovation in New York City and London (Sage), and “Higher Education and the Politics of Investment” (Vital Speeches of the Day).
